Background: Pesticide use has a myriad of negative effects, both on Massachusetts families and Massachusetts wildlife. Stricter legislation is required to make sure that the Commonwealth, both its people and its environment, stay healthy.

What this legislation does:  

This bill facilitates the creation of a list pertinent to minimum standards, restrictions, and regulations relative to the use and disposal of pesticides throughout the Commonwealth. The bill also provides freedom for municipalities to adopt stricter policies to regulate, restrict, or prohibit the use, application, or disposal of pesticides within their jurisdiction.
